"I often paint taking flight, escaping to gravity objects. As a child, I often dreamed to fly. Sometimes, I got on a chair and tried to jump each time higher, hoping for a take off usually failing pitifully, and I found myself on the ground. But I often succeeded to fly through the window of the classroom, I soared high skyward, and looped the loops over Paris in the company of birds. Or I played to pass in front of the windows of the school where my friends were locked up.
But, symbol of freedom, taking flight is also for me, I think, symbol of elevation."
